Zest in the park
Over 500 people rushed to Pontypool Park for our third party in the park with a healthy twist! Zest in the Park featured several stalls from us, as well as Morris’s of Usk, Torfaen Leisure Trust, Rockabella’s 1950’s hair salon, a climbing wall, bouncy castle and face painting.

Zest in the Park featured several stalls from us, as well as Morris’s of Usk, Torfaen Leisure Trust, Rockabella’s 1950’s hair salon, a climbing wall, bouncy castle and face painting.
Green Meadow Community Farm brought along a number of animals for a meet-and-greet while Cycle Training Wales ensured visitors’ bikes were in tip-top condition with a free service.
Sharon Crockett, the Assistant Director of business consultancy said, “Each year the event has grown, and gone from strength to strength. It is so important to inspire the local community to become fitter and healthier. I think we have found the perfect recipe!”
Visitors were able to sample massage, tai chi, free fruit, take home a goody bag filled with a pen, notepad, beach ball, trolley coin and frisbee. With the sun even making an appearance, the day has been the perfect end to the final weeks of the summer holidays.
Sarah Rooney, travelled from St Julian’s, Newport with her two children. She was impressed by the event saying; “It has been a great day, so much fun for all the family and it’s great to see that Melin put so much back into the community.”
We can't wait for next year. Keep an eye out for the date in the 2018 summer holidays!
