CEO announcement
A few short months ago we announced that we were exploring ways of merging Melin and Newport City Homes (NCH) into a new organisation. We are now thrilled to be able to let you know that the Boards of both Melin and NCH have appointed a Group CEO Designate.

Following a rigorous assessment process, Paula Kennedy CEO of Melin Homes accepted the offer reiterating the importance she places on building on the best of both Melin and Newport City Homes to define what the new organisation will look like. She also thanked Ceri Doyle CEO of Newport City Homes for her support in getting the merger programme to this point.
Ceri Doyle took the decision not to apply for the role for a combination of personal and professional reasons but remains committed and excited about the prospect of the merger and the benefits it will bring to the sector in Wales, and customers, colleagues and communities served by both Melin and Newport City Homes.
Ceri and Paula will continue to work in partnership, supported by the Newport City Homes and Melin boards, to deliver the merger programme.
We are writing to all our residents with further information about the process and will be giving everyone who lives in a Melin or NCH home the opportunity to tell us what services and values they want to see in the proposed new organisation.
Residents and staff remain at the heart of both businesses, and we look forward to sharing more updates as the merger process progresses.
