Melin Homes has been awarded the Platinum Corporate Health Standard from the Welsh Government. The Corporate Health Standard is the national quality mark for workplace health promotion across Wales. We now become the second Housing Association in Wales and only the 11th employer in Wales to achieve Platinum standard. In order to achieve Platinum Standard we had to demonstrate how we promote health and wellbeing in the community.
The Corporate Health Standard is part of the Welsh Government ‘Healthy Working Wales’ programme and is the national mark of quality for health and well-being in the workplace. It is presented in bronze, silver, gold and platinum categories to public, private and third sector organisations implementing practices to promote the health and well-being of their employees.
Mark Gardner, Chief Executive at Melin said: “It really is great that the hard work and efforts of our staff have been recognised by Welsh Government. The news has left me beaming with pride because I see the great work the team do in this area on a day to day basis. We see ourselves as a place to work that believes a healthy team is a happy team.”
